The use of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, or MBCT to support and aid children with SEND has been studied for several years now. Anyone who has ever worked with children knows that to give a blanket “this always works” response to any issue is a huge mistake. All children are different. Interestingly there is now considerable evidence that mindfulness benefits conditions as diverse as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue. It is also shown to improve relationships and improved self esteem.
