Hi, I’m Kate

I’m a mindfulness teacher, wife, mum and stepmum and I want to help you be the hero of your own story. The world is a fast moving and often stressful place. The busier we get the more passive we can be in deciding our own destiny.  I help people to literally stop and smell the flowers. To take time to appreciate the little things, to believe in their own potential and to really enjoy life.

If you feel anxious, stressed or as if life is passing you by, I can give you the tools you need to  change your life and feel more fulfilled.

Are you ready to be your own hero?

Ever since I was a small child I have been fascinated by the power of story. This was taken to a whole new level when I studied a symbolism in film and literature course at college. As a result I decided to write my dissertation on the importance of moral stories in educating children.

It was as part of my research for this paper that I first came across Joseph Campbell. His book “The Power of Myth” was invaluable during my studies and I loved how seriously he took the power of stories.

This is the quote that inspired my new message. As someone who has been on quite a significant journey over the years this quote really resonates. I kept seeing it over and over again, on social media, when I was listening to podcasts, in interviews on the TV… I just kept thinking; “yes, I am the hero of my own story”.

Noone wants to be in the  ensemble of their own life. We all want to be brave enough to answer that call to adventure, to rise to whatever quests we have to conquer along the way.

I recently saw a video of Matthew McConnaughey where he tells how he was asked when he was 15 years old who his hero was. He thought about it for a week and then replied that his hero was himself aged 25.

Ten years later he was talking to the same person who asked him whether he was the hero he dreamed of being. He responded that he wasn’t but that his hero was now himself at 35.  He is always aiming to be better and more adventurous than he is currently.

Always strive to be better than you are now

Our lives change almost daily. Every day you can choose to be the best version of yourself. You can choose to be brave and to accept your invitation to go on a quest, or you can choose to settle for where you are and what you have.

If you are lacking in confidence, feeling too anxious or you’re too scared to answer the call to adventure you can miss amazing opportunities.

I can help you to feel radiant with confidence, calm and happy and ready to tackle whatever life offers you.

Answer the call and learn to be your own hero today
